Chlorine Institute Emergency Kit A

The Chlorine Institute Emergency Kit “A” is manufactured to the design specifications of the Chlorine Institute. The Emergency Kit “A” contains devices to stop leaks at the valve, fusible plug, and in the side walls of chlorine 100 & 150 lb. cylinders which conform to specification DOT 3A480 (low pressure only <150 psi). Two instruction booklets explaining the application of each device are included.

FEATURES:
– Device #1: designed to contain leaks in and around the cylinder valve
– Device #2: a clamping device to seal leaks in and around the cylinder valve fusible plug
– Device #8: a patching device designed for sealing leaks in the cylinder side wall
– Includes variety of hand tools, inspection seals and additional sealing devices
– All items labeled with part number, color coded red and stored inside durable polyethylene tool box
– Only emergency kit authorized by DOT for over the road shipment of a leaking cylinder (CFR 173.3 e section 1)

The Chlorine Institute Recovery Vessel can also be used to encapsulate a leaking cylinder and shipped.
