FarrWest is now a Honeywell Authorized Service Provider for BW and RAE Systems gas detection. Instruments covered by a Honeywell Service Made Simple Enhanced agreement are repaired, calibrated and returned by the FarrWest Repair Depot in San Antonio, Texas. Covered parts and labor are free, with priority repair turnaround.
Honeywell’s Service Made Simple Enhanced agreement covers BW and RAE Systems portable gas detectors, calibration stations and charging stations. As an Authorized Service Provider, FarrWest performs that covered work in our own OEM-certified Repair Depot with genuine Honeywell parts and sensors. Here is what your agreement entitles you to.
Manufacturing defects, normal wear, and accidental damage to circuit boards, screens, keypads, buttons and housings. Every instrument is fully tested and calibrated before it ships back, and worn hand straps or clips are replaced. Parts and labor included.
Priority repair turnaround at the depot, and covered work returns to you on expedited shipping.
Standard sensors that no longer pass calibration are replaced with genuine Honeywell sensors. Specialty toxic sensors get a one-time replacement for normal use. Full list below.
If Honeywell determines an instrument is damaged beyond economical repair, it is replaced with a new or refurbished unit in the same configuration, ordered on a priority basis.
Standard sensors are replaced whenever they fail calibration. Specialty toxic sensors are replaced once under normal use.
PID lamps are not included. Lamps are purchased separately; once you have one, we install and calibrate it as part of the covered service.
Four steps. Most of the work is ours. Yours is to open the RMA, pack the instrument well and get it to us.
Start a return at the FarrWest support portal with the part number, serial number, a short fault description, your return address and a contact name and phone. You receive an RMA number and ship-to address. Not sure it needs a repair? Call our tech line first.
Keep a copy of the RMA document clearly visible on or in the box and pack the instrument to survive transit. Inbound shipping is your responsibility.
Your instrument is logged by serial number, diagnosed and repaired on a priority basis. Failed sensors are replaced, then the unit passes a full functional test and calibration.
Covered instruments return on expedited carriage to the address on the RMA, with the calibration certificate and repair record stored in our tracking program.
If your instrument falls into one of these, the Repair Depot can still quote the work as a standard repair.
Open an RMA for a covered Honeywell BW or RAE Systems instrument, or call to confirm what your agreement covers.
