    RA5001

Slim Profile ANR For Helmet-Wearing Crews

The RA5001 headset delivers combined Passive and Active Noise Reduction (ANR) for excellent speech intelligibility and hearing protection. Its slim profile earcups are designed to fit “up and under” close-fitting ACH-style and PASGT helmets, ensuring a proper seal without interference.

Ideal for wheeled vehicles, the RA5001 achieves 23 dB SNR. It features a chest-mounted Push-To-Talk (PTT) unit which houses the AA battery for dismounted operation, significantly reducing the weight carried on the user’s head.

The RA5001 ensures clear communication with a noise-canceling, waterproof, and anti-magnetic flexible boom microphone. It also features battery-powered hear-through microphones for accurate situational awareness.

    Features

    • Slim profile earcups for helmet compatibility

    • Active Noise Reduction (23 dB SNR)

    • Chest-mounted PTT and battery unit

    • Battery powered hear-through situational awareness

    • Swappable Left/Right boom microphone

    • IP67 immersible and rugged design

    Helmet Compatible

The RA5001’s slim profile earcups fit comfortably under standard ballistic helmets. The design ensures unobstructed cheek-to-stock weld when operating weapons and avoids interference with body armor collars.

    Reduced Head Weight

By moving the power source and PTT controls to a chest-mounted unit, the RA5001 minimizes the weight on the helmet/head system. This improves long-term comfort and reduces fatigue during extended missions.

    Clear Audio

The headset provides high-intelligibility binaural communications. The hear-through system allows for natural localization of external sounds at safe levels (<85dBA), helping crews identify hazards without removing protection.
