    The Thermo Scientific RIIDEye Series is a field-proven, handheld Radioisotope Identifier (RIID) engineered for professionals who need rapid, accurate, and intuitive radiation detection in the field. Equipped with patented Quadratic Compression Conversion (QCC) technology, the RIIDEye offers real-time gamma source identification with enhanced spectral resolution and isotopic clarity—supporting fast, informed response in critical scenarios.

    From homeland security operations and dirty bomb detection to environmental remediation and contamination monitoring, the RIIDEye provides fast identification of radioactive isotopes with minimal training required. The system displays color-coded energy peaks in real-time, helping users distinguish between benign and threat materials at a glance—significantly reducing adjudication time.

    Ergonomically designed with balanced weight distribution at the mid-handle, the RIIDEye supports comfortable, extended handheld use during continuous surveys.     While taking a gamma spectrum the RIDEye can be complemented with the gamma neutron pager RadEye GN for the highest detection performance for both fast and moderated neutrons.
