    Description

    SPIR-Ace

    Mirion

The Mirion SPIR-Ace is a versatile, field-ready Radioisotope Identification Device (RIID) designed for accurate and efficient detection of radiological threats across a wide range of security and safety applications. Whether deployed for civil defense, border control, customs, emergency response, or critical infrastructure protection, the SPIR-Ace delivers reliable, high-resolution performance in a compact, rugged form factor.

Built with professional users in mind, the SPIR-Ace supports advanced radioisotope identification and quantification, enabling precise assessments of nuclear materials in environments like power plants, safeguard inspections, and forensic laboratories. Its compatibility with Genie software, including Genie CNF files and ISOCS efficiency calibration, makes it a powerful and adaptable tool for in situ quantitative analysis.

With onboard geometry selection, real-time spectral analysis, and seamless data transfer, the SPIR-Ace streamlines mission-critical workflows and ensures regulatory compliance. Whether in the field or in the lab, this handheld RIID offers reliable performance for first responders, security teams, and nuclear professionals alike.

    Features

    • Ultra fast and accurate search and nuclide identification

    • Identifies heavily shielded materials, unbalanced mixes, and Special Nuclear Materials masking scenarios

    • Generic ISOCS characterization, preloaded efficiency calibrations

    • Connects to Genie for immediate and easy quantification

    Identify

The screen provides all the information to evaluate the situation, with no button to touch.

    Search

Use the Radar and Histogram screens to localize a source, and map the geolocation of the hotspot area.

    Detect

Detection of higher gamma or neutron rates activate the screen, generate alarms. The device provides continuous nuclide identification.

    Remote Display and Start

Connect to the SPIR-Ace device with a hotspot or Wi-Fi connection and enable acquisition from a safe or more accessible location.

    Locate

The SPIR-Ace unit offers on-device identification performance beyond current standards for RIIDs such as for heavily shielded isotopes, unbalanced mixtures of nuclides and Special Nuclear Material
