The Splashguard adapter is a field-replaceable component designed for Teledyne Detcon CX-IR non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) combustible gas sensors. It features an integral calibration port for convenient gas sampling during calibration procedures and includes a stainless steel construction for corrosion resistance in harsh environments. The adapter houses the infrared sensor and optical gas sample chamber, protecting the sensor from environmental contaminants while maintaining accurate detection of hydrocarbon gases in the 0-100% LEL range. The design allows easy field replacement by releasing a locking screw and unthreading the splashguard adapter assembly. Compatible with calibration equipment including the Splash Guard with Wind Guard (PN 613-120000-700) and various calibration adapters.
