The 15lb. Bag Obexion FR – Lithium-Ion Battery Fire Containment Solution fits easily on your Fire Truck. It’s designed to help first responders safely and effectively extinguish lithium-ion battery fires. Obexion FR is powered by the Akkugrain® compound. It attacks all three pillars of the fire triangle (heat, oxygen and fuel) to quickly contain and extinguish lithium battery fires. In the past, first responders have needed to rely on dirt, sand, or vermiculite to mitigate battery fires. However, unlike Obexion FR, none of these solutions are proven to remove toxic gases, prevent batteries from re-igniting, or are scalable to handle multiple lithium-ion batteries (special permit coming soon). Lithium-ion batteries packed in Obexion FR material will remain in a stable state — so they can be safely transported and shipped. The 15 LB Bag of Loose Obexion FR Material is effective for lithium-ion batteries that range in size from mobile phones and laptops to power tools and e-Bikes. Additionally, the bag is light-weight and takes up minimal space, making it easy to fit on fire trucks and hazmat vehicles of all sizes.
