The FLIR StormCaster-T is a next-generation longwave infrared (LWIR) ISR payload, purpose-built for tactical operations requiring enhanced thermal imaging, precision targeting, and long endurance. Compatible with the SkyRanger R70 and R80D SkyRaider, the StormCaster-T supports critical detection, recognition, identification, and target acquisition—day or night.
Its continuous zoom lens delivers sharp, actionable imagery at long range, extending surveillance and increasing standoff distance without sacrificing detail. The payload’s advanced 7x improvement in line-of-sight stabilization, expanded range of motion, and dramatically enhanced geolocation accuracy enable operators to maintain visual control, even in dynamic conditions.
Housed in a rugged, low SWaP-C (Size, Weight, Power, and Cost) form factor, the StormCaster-T is optimized for missions that demand extended time on station, mobility, and platform efficiency. Its modular design also supports rapid interchangeability across StormCaster payload types—maximizing flexibility and system interoperability.
