An easy-to-use thermal imaging camera that offers affordability without sacrificing the reliability, clarity, or performance that first responders expect from FLIR. Patented FSX® Flexible Scene Enhancement intensifies the structural and textural detail in the thermal image, and FLIR built it to be affordable enough for crews to have multiple TICs in use at a fire scene.
Resolution of 240 × 180, a 60 Hz frame rate and a bright 4" LCD help you see more in smoky conditions. Here is what each link in that chain does, and where FSX® fits.
43,200 thermal pixels with a thermal sensitivity of <40 mK @86°F (30°C), behind a fixed-focus 51° × 38° lens.
FLIR FSX digital processing adds edge detail for greater perspective and increased navigational capabilities.
Rapid refresh-rate (60 Hz) for better on-scene orientation.
Bright and easy to see 4" LCD display.

“FSX® Flexible Scene Enhancement … intensifies thermal images' structural and textural details.”FLIR
FLIR's patented image processing, listed as Contrast optimization: Digital image enhancement using FSX, built into the camera.
It brings out the structure and texture in a thermal scene and adds edge detail for greater perspective and increased navigational capabilities.
FLIR says the enhanced perspective and greater orientation improves firefighters' tactical decision-making, and helps improve situational awareness and give firefighters a greater sense of confidence and safety.
Two different numbers that are easy to mix up. Object temperature range is how hot a surface in the scene can be and still be measured. Operating temperature is how much heat the camera itself is rated to work in, and for how long.
Bars drawn to scale.
The K33 has one imaging mode: TI Basic, the fire-fighting mode. One glove-friendly button starts the camera in that mode, and the trigger freezes what you see.
One glove-friendly button starts the K33 in TI-Basic mode. Simple, single-button control; straightforward operation.
The image runs on a fixed color scale with FSX® enhancement, refreshing at 60 Hz across a 51° × 38° field of view.
Pulling and holding the trigger freezes the image on screen.
Connect over USB mini-B to update from PC and transfer data to and from a PC. Auto-range is selectable on/off in FLIR Tools.
The K33 steps up from the K2 in resolution, thermal sensitivity, field of view and the top of its measurement range.
