In high-risk environments, seconds count—and so does distance. The Rigaku Icon-X is a revolutionary 4th-generation 1064 nm handheld Raman analyzer engineered to identify unknown chemical substances quickly, accurately, and—critically—from a safe distance.
As the first in Rigaku’s lineup to offer true standoff detection, the Icon-X allows users to scan hazardous materials—such as explosives, HMEs, IED components, narcotics, or chemical threats—without making physical contact. This capability provides critical tactical and safety advantages for EOD units, hazmat teams, military operations, border patrol, and first responders operating in volatile or unknown environments.
Designed for speed, versatility, and field durability, the Icon-X offers dual-mode operation: users can conduct non-contact scans from a distance or switch to direct contact analysis when needed. This eliminates the need for time-consuming sample collection and reduces risk by keeping personnel at a safer range.
