QUANTOFIX Formaldehyde test strips and reagents give a semi-quantitative reading of formaldehyde in solution, from 0 to 200 mg/L. Other aldehydes such as acetaldehyde or glutaraldehyde react only at higher concentrations and produce a color off the scale; acetone does not react. Strong oxidizing and reducing agents give low results.
