The RSS2 source set is specifically designed to determine the resolving time of a Geiger-Müller (GM) counter, measuring how rapidly the counter can react to and discern individual radiation events. The set comprises three half-disks with radioactive material (Tl-204) placed within wells in injection-molded Plexiglas® disks, dried and sealed with epoxy plugs. Available in two configurations: RSS2 (2 half-disks with 5 µCi Tl-204 each, 10 µCi total) and RSS2-EU (2 half-disks with 0.25 µCi each, 0.5 µCi total). Maximum activity deviation is ±20%. Activities comply with U.S. NRC Exempt Quantity limits. Calibration not available.
