IP 67
Water resistant, tested to IEC 60529.
A rugged, reliable and economical thermal imaging camera specially designed for firefighting applications and severe conditions. The K2 displays 160 × 120 pixel thermal images on a bright 3″ screen, giving firefighters situational awareness that is not possible with the naked eye, all from one glove-friendly button.
Thermal imaging cameras help crews see through smoke and monitor the fire's spread. The K2 puts a 160 × 120 thermal image on a 320 × 240 pixel, 3 in backlit LCD, and its MSX® image enhancement adds edge detail so firefighters can pick out structures and surroundings.

An uncooled microbolometer (7.5–13 µm) builds a 160 × 120 (19,200 pixels) image that refreshes at 9 Hz, with thermal sensitivity of <100 mK @86°F (30°C).
“MSX® image enhancement adds edge detail to scenes, helping firefighters identify structures and surroundings.” Greater visibility allows fire crews to create a better plan of attack.
A 47° × 35° field of view, fixed focus, and automatic, non-selectable range.
One spotmeter, isotherm, and a heat-detection mode in which the hottest 20% of the scene is colorized.
This lightweight camera attaches easily to turnouts and offers simplified, single-button controls that can be used with heavy gloves. Set it to one of seven imaging modes depending on its primary use; modes are changed with free, downloadable FLIR Tools® software.

The K2 is fully operational at temperatures up to 500°F/260°C (max. 3 minutes). Here is how long the camera keeps operating at each ambient temperature step:
Timed bars drawn to scale against 15 minutes. Storage temperature range: -40°F to 158°F (-40°C to 70°C).
Water resistant, tested to IEC 60529.
Rugged enough to withstand a 2-meter drop onto concrete.
Shock 25 g (IEC 60068-2-27); vibration 2 g (IEC 60068-2-6).
ASTM B117, salt spray, 5% saline solution in 48 hours and 35°C.
IEC 60068-2-30, 24 hours, 95% relative humidity, 25–40°C (77–104°F), 2 cycles.
PPSU, silicon rubber, cast aluminium and flame-resistant magnesium alloy.
“The K2 makes high-quality thermal imaging more accessible so more first responders can help save lives and protect property.”FLIR
Under FLIR’s 2-5-10 terms, the K2 is one of the handheld uncooled Fire Service cameras that qualify for coverage once registered. The warranty is provided by FLIR, with three separate periods depending on the camera part. Eligibility conditions, including where the camera was purchased, are in the warranty PDF.
Product batteries are warranted for a period of two (2) years from the Purchase Date.
Product components (excluding batteries and sensors) are warranted for a period of five (5) years from the Purchase Date.
Uncooled thermal camera sensors are warranted for a period of ten (10) years from the Purchase Date.
Register the camera directly with FLIR within sixty (60) days of the date it was purchased by the first retail customer. Per FLIR’s terms, qualifying products that are not registered on-line within sixty (60) days of the purchase date will have a limited one (1) year warranty from the original date of purchase.
